Trained as both an architect and an engineer, Rudy Ricciotti is one of the foremost representatives of a generation of architects combining great creative prowess with a genuine constructive approach. He received several quality awards as the Architecture National Price in 2006 and the Gold Medal of the Architecture Academy. He is also a member of the Academy of Technologies.
Pioneer and ambassador of concrete, Rudy Ricciotti sublimes innovative concretes in significant constructions such as the Museum of Civilisations of Europe and the Mediterranean (MuCEM) in Marseille, the new wing for the Louvre in Paris to host its Islamic art collection, Jean Bouin Stadium in Paris, Jean Cocteau Museum in Menton, the bridge of the Republic in Montpellier, philharmonic « Nikolaïsaal » in Potsdam (Germany) or the Footbridge of Peace over the Han River in Seoul (South-Korea).
