Architect (University of Architecture, Torino Polytechnic 1990; OAT; SIAT), Landscape Architect (AIAPP, EFLA), PhD in Architecture and Urban Design History (University of Architecture, Torino Polytechnic 1993).
After PhD, Camerana publishes several articles about architecture, urbanism, landscape, car design in different newspapers and magazines (La Stampa, Il Giornale dell’Arte, Quattroruote, Le Grandi Automobili, Ferrarissima, l’Arca, Ottagono). From 1993 to 1997, Camerana is Editor in chief in “Eden. L’Architettura nel paesaggio” magazine, Milano, and from 2001 to 2004 in “L’Architettura del paesaggio” magazine, Firenze. In 1996 he enters Palazzo Grassi Board of Directors in Venice; in 1999 he enters the Scientific Committee of IED – European Institute of Design, where he is also coordinator of Exhibit Design Master. Since 2010 he is professor in Architectural design Laboratory at the Torino Polytechnic. Since 2012 is Chairman at the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile in Torino. Since 2013 is Chairman of Lingotto in Torino. Member of Metaphisical Club in Domus Academy, Milano, from 2015.
Projects: After some years working with established architects and engineering companies, Benedetto Camerana founds in 1997 in Torino Camerana&Partners, dynamic and efficient architecture organization employing young Italian and European architects. Camerana&Partners mayor works are then developed in 19 years of increasing success in the areas of master planning, landscape, public and private important buildings, all of them as part of a well committed full development of environmental principles, embodied by innovative technologies and natural energy saving systems.
A list of most important projects: XX Winter Olympic Games Torino 2006 Olympic Village, a project granted with Golden Medal in Italian Architecture 2004-2006 award and published in all Europe newspapers, books, TVs and magazines; Environment Park Research&Development Centre (Torino 1999); Alfa Romeo Museum (Milano 2001, uncompleted); Italian Avantgarde in Car Design exhibition (New York, 2002); Alfa Romeo exhibits in Motor shows (Geneva, Bologna, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, 2002-2005); Auchan Retail Park (Cuneo 2004); Auditorium RAI Torino Symphony Hall complete restoration (Torino 2006); Bicocca Village Multiplex and Retail Centre (Milano 2005); Amiat new Headquarters (Torino 2007); Residence Du Parc facade critical restoration (Torino 2008); Urban Center in Rivarolo Canavese (2008); Novello Cesena Masterplan (competition Award, with studio GAP, Cesena 2008); Torricelli Park Research & Development Centre in Faenza (2009); Trino Vercellese central areas complete regeneration (2010); Gancia Lounge (Milano + Munich, 2009-2010), Palazzo Doria De Fornari restauration (Genova, 2010), Piazza dei Mestieri school (Torino, 2011); Juventus Museum (Torino, 2012); Ferrari commercial spaces (Maranello, 2012); Torino University Luigi Einaudi Campus (completed 2012); Maria Madre dei Giovani church (Torino, completed 2012); Maserati Los Angeles (2013), Geneva (2014,2015,2016), New York (2014), Beijing (2014), Paris (2014), Frankfurt (2015) Autoshow stand; Porcelanosa stand at Super Studio Temporary Museum (Milano, Salone del Mobile off, 2014); Alfa Romeo Museum (Arese, 2015); Camera-Italian Photography Center (Torino, 2015); Armando Testa sculpture (Turin, 2015), Los Angeles Petersen Museum exhibit redesign (2015, with The Scenic Route).

Projects currently under construction:  new ACI headquarter (Torino, construction end on 2016); Messina waterfront Masterplan (2012- end on 2016); Villa in Sorengo (with Pier Massimo Cinquetti and Michela Lageard), Porta Europa Towers (Torino, construction starting in 2015).
